Chargers overpower Hurricanes

Great Barrington, MA – Chargers won the coin flip, elected to go on defense first and proceeded to not allow a first down in the contest, on route to a 20-0 win.  The defense was led by the 50-pound missile Johnny Ireland, who had 8 tackles and a force fumble while being a disruptive force all day.  Michael Paris and Cooper Bunce had 4.5 tackles each while Trey Hyde, Kieran Bryant, Mikey Ireland and Noah Inthirath locked the edge down.  Jaheem Dumpsen, Logan Burdick, Rhys Culbreth, and Tyler Seward applied pressure up the middle continuously.

Offensively, Ireland had a big day with 61 yards rushing, which included an electrifying 40-yard TD run, Bunce and Paris both had rushing scores of 10-yards and 6-yards respectively.  Matthew Vallone continued to have a solid season by adding 24 yards on 3 carries.  Matteo Buffoni, Gunnar Laine and Luca Bertini had some shifty runs.  Harry Morey, Jordan New, Chase Peyre,
Ennis Walsh and Mason Reiners played well on the line against a big Hurricane front.

Southern Berkshire end the season next Sunday Home @ 11:30 against Lansboro.
